Fast growing Australian native ginger. Perennial to 2m, growing clumps of dark green leaves with red underneath and fragrant whote flowers in spring and summer. Bright blue fruit that attracts birds follow.  New shoots and rhizome have a mild ginger flavour and fruit have a tangy lemon flavour. Leaves can be used to wrap foods when baking or steaming.
