Extremely fast growing shrub to 2 - 4mtrs. Deeply lobed dark green leaves and pretty purple flowers followed by yellow/orange oval fruit. Fruit are edible ONlY when completely ripe as unripe or green ones will make you pretty sick. Best to use when starting to soften and skin is ready to split. Attractive adaptable screening shrub. Bird attracting. Can be used as rootstock to graft other solanums such as eggplants, tomatoes and tamarillos.
