Dianella tasmanica

Everything about this plant is a feature. The long, broad, dark green leaves that have a weeping habit from stems of dark red. The masses of small bright blue flowers on tall stems. And the metallic purple/blue oval fruit that are edible and the birds love them. Does better in shadier and wetter spots than other dianella species and is all round a tough but spectacular plant. ( note: unknown atm if it will grow true to type, ie.red stems, from seed).
